" When Kandi Burruss reveals, during a recent telephone interview, that her favorite expletive is "motherfucker," it's almost too cute to bear. As if we really needed another reason to root for the Atlanta native, come to find out she likes to cuss up a storm, too."My mouth is bad sometimes," she says, smiling through the phone. "I have to wash it out with soap. Luckily y'all don't get to see that ’cause you can't really say bad language on TV."It's probably one of the few character wrinkles of Burruss' that wasn't excessively ironed out over the course of Season Two on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." While NeNe Leakes transgressed from fan fave to villain with a vengeance, newbie Burruss stole the hearts of viewers with her down-to-earth, charmed demeanor and an off-screen plot line that earned an outpouring of sympathy.Considering all the tribulations and B.S. Burruss has publicly endured in recent months — from the gossip blogs that initially made a mockery of her relationship with former fiancé Ashley "A.J." Jewell to the shocking tragedy that claimed his life before the season finished airing — it almost seems as if her decision to be on the show was cursed from the start.But the exposure, and all the drama that's come with it, could potentially work wonders for the solo career of the Grammy-winning songwriter and former member of the Atlanta-based girl group Xscape. Not only has she garnered a new fan base, she's renewed old fans' interest. And she's done so by giving them something they never had before — an intimate look at the story behind her music.Case in point: "Fly Above," the lead single on her new self-released EP of the same name, is a half-baked R&B ditty about one of the most cliché topics in black pop — them haters. But set against the backdrop of Burruss' whirlwind drama, unfolding as it has before the viewing public, the song rises to the level of a cathartic anthem."'Fly Above' is [my] theme song because so many people have counted me out and hated on me over the years," says Burruss. "And over and over again, I have to prove myself."She first sprouted wings after the demise of Xscape, the ’90s female R&B quartet she joined, along with Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, as a 14-year-old attending Tri-Cities High School in East Point. After dropping three platinum albums in eight years, the ’round-the-way girls of Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label split amid finger-pointing and infighting. "When the group was falling apart, certain members were just like, 'Y'all ain't gonna do nothing once I do my thing,'" Burruss recalls.
But she went on to achieve groundbreaking success when she and Cottle co-wrote TLC's No. 1 hit, "No Scrubs" (1999). Burruss followed that up with a string of hit singles and album cuts written for such chart-topping acts as Destiny's Child ("Bills, Bills, Bills," "Bug-a-Boo"), Pink ("There You Go"), N'Sync ("It Makes Me Ill"), Whitney Houston ("Tell Me No") and more. "I break off and start writing songs for everybody, and that caught people off-guard."But solo success still eluded Burruss. Her debut, Hey Kandi, released in 2000, failed to make a dent. Even though the danceable first single "Don't Think I'm Not" reached No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, Columbia Records bounced her from the label. Still, the industry couldn't write her off just yet. Her behind-the-scenes writing credits earned her a Grammy for "No Scrubs" and she was the first woman to be honored as Songwriter of the Year by the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.She'd emerged as the new voice of female empowerment, penning plain-spoken, in-your-face anthems that gave ladies the upper hand. In particular, such songs as TLC's "No Scrubs" — inspired by a bootleg boyfriend of Burruss' — and Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills" — in which potential male suitors are reminded, as Gwen Guthrie did in 1986, that "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But the Rent" — cemented her rep for putting the smack down. "I think a lot of those songs are like two homegirls talking trash," she says. "It's just something me and my girls talk about [and] laugh about that I just put into a song." But knowing she was the pen behind such lyrics ("Can you pay my bills?/Can you pay my telephone bill?/Can you pay my automo-bill?/Then maybe, baby, we can chill") also made it easy to misread Burruss as a gold-digging expletive. Surely, her steady flow of royalty checks might cast aside that aspersion with the quickness, but it took her turn on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" to demonstrate the truth to those of us not privy to her financial statements.
As viewers discovered during the show's 15-week run, Burruss is the anomaly among the cast of wannabes. The only member who came to "RHOA" as a bona fide celebrity, she's proven herself the least pretentious on a program where ratings are fueled by constant cat-fighting, crass materialism and diva-like drama.
"People have expectations," she says, "and they think, 'Oh, she's gonna be bougie' and 'She got money.' The funny thing is, I think the girls on the show are more about material things than I am."Meanwhile, the drama in her life has almost been too real for reality TV. From the time Bravo announced her as the replacement cast member for Season Two, the ish hit the ’Net. Her new fiancé, Jewell, came with baggage: namely, six children by four different babies' mamas. It seemed like the wrong move for a single mother trying to stay scrub-free while raising her own 7-year-old daughter, Riley. Gossip bloggers feasted on the irony. She and her disapproving but doting mother disagreed onscreen about the relationship. It seemed like a lot to bare before the cameras, but Burruss was committed to keeping it real. In an early episode, during a scene set in her kitchen, tears streamed down Burruss’ face as she tried to convince her mother, along with several close family members gathered with them, that Jewell was worthy of her hand in marriage. It became a defining moment, due in part to her emotional outpouring, but also because it showed her surrounded by a host of relatives, with such down-home names as Aunt Hazel, Uncle Bebo and Uncle Booley, professing their unconditional support.Scenes like that humanized 33-year-old Burruss in a way that nothing in her past two decades of entertainment could have. And with a sophomore solo album in the works, it made for the perfect career setup.Jewell, on the other hand, hated the public scrutiny that came with being on the show, according to Burruss. His source of income was regularly questioned, as was his faithfulness to Burruss. But Burruss stood by her ex, allowing him to move two of his daughters in and continuing to take care of them even after she and Jewell broke up in June of this year. By then, the season had wrapped and she'd started to notice some of the warning signs her mother spoke of coming to pass. When Burruss spotted him with a date immediately after their split, that sealed their separation, though they remained friends.
"A lot of things happened after the show stopped taping that made me be like, 'OK, my mom was right about a lot of stuff.' Like, a lot of the kids did end up moving in for a period of time." Burruss says. "It wasn't that she didn't like him, she just didn't want that situation for me."
After Jewell died on the night of Oct. 2, as a result of a one-on-one fight with Fredrick Richardson in front of the Body Tap club — the Marietta Boulevard strip joint he was buying into — she received such an outpouring of love via Twitter, random blog commenters, even strangers on the street, that it shocked her. In hindsight, his death made Burruss "regret the fact that [the show] focused so much on A.J.," she says. "It pissed him off and I hated to see him upset. "But other than that I wasn't really bothered by anything that they showed about me on the show because I went into it saying I wasn't going to be secretive. I was just going to do me, and however that came off is how it was going to come off. So I feel like it was cool." Her willingness to be so outspoken and direct has always been her best songwriting tool, and several of the songs on the EP are ripped straight from the pages of their relationship. On the playful cut "It Must Be Good," she toys with the popular notion that there's only one way she could've fallen so hard for Jewell. "He got that fire/he got that whoopty-whoop," she sings. "He got whatever it is you say he do."The ballad "I Just Know" was written "when A.J. and I were in a really great, happy time in our relationship," Burruss says. "It's a perfect wedding song."Despite the tragedy, Burruss says she's handling it well. "My brother passed away when I was 15, and he was the closest person in the world to me other than my mom. So I feel like anytime somebody has experienced death with somebody that's really, really close to you, it never affects you the same after that," she says. "It makes me emotional, it makes me sad, but at the same time I know that things are going to be OK. I'm more hurt for his children. So when I listen to those songs, it brings back happy memories about our relationship."In the meantime, she says she'll take her time before re-entering the dating pool. She's focused on her family and her career. Her sophomore album is on hold while she continues to shop for a major-label deal. But she released the Fly Above EP — which features production by Drumma Boy and cameos from Rick Ross, Gucci Mane and her longtime friend Rasheeda — via iTunes on her own Kandi Koated Entertainment. The Bravo network has also asked her back for the third season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," for which she'll get paid an undisclosed sum of money. Beyond that, she doesn't plan to become a regular on the series. "I don't think I'll do past one more season," she says. "I don't want to get to the point where that's all people see me for is reality TV."Indeed, that would be a motherfucker."

Our Hearts Go Out To Kandi Burruss For The Beating Death of Ex Fiance AJ Jewell

What a shocker in Atlanta today. Numerous news sources have reported the beating death of AJ Jewell in the parking lot of strip club The Body Tap on Marietta Blvd. AJ was allegedly part owner of this club located in the newly revitalized West Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. A suspect, who allegedly was also injured in the brawl, is in Grady Hospital receiving treatment before transport to the Fulton County Jail.
Our hearts go out to our favorite housewife Kandi Burruss, the breakout star of season 2 of the RHOA and AJ's 6 children. Kandi and AJ allegedly ended their engagement in August. When Kandi appeared on the Bravo Show "Watch What Happens" with Andy Cohen and Tyson Beckford last week, she was not wearing her ring. Those who watch the show know that Kandi's mother was not supportive of the impending nuptuals. We love you Kandi and our hearts and prayers go out to you.

Just when things at Buzz Central were getting a little too quiet (it is late August, after all), comes word of a brand-new bitch slapping contest concerning —who else? — “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Kim Zolciak has taken to her website under the headline ”Atlanta Magazine: Screw Off” to announce a boycott of the upcoming “Housewives” cover story in the September issue of Atlanta magazine describing it as “disgusting and manipulating.”
Zolciak claims she was “inaccurately portrayed” in the cover story written by Amanda Brown Heckert.
Since Buzz Central happens to have an advance copy of said story, let’s take a quick looksee to see what could possibly have set off the weave-whacked, aspiring vocalist.
Oops.
The headline of the story?
“Trashionistas: Sound the Sirens! Just try not watch the train wreck that is The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Oh, my.
Here’s the lead of Brown Heckert’s profile: “Five pretty Georgia peaches, plump with collagen and ripe with ambition, sit as still as Evian in the pool house of the Pink Palace, a ludicrously lavish villa that has housed generations of Buckhead socialites and, now that it’s for rent, a Ne-Yo video.”
And yet, despite her protestations, Zolciak has posted pictures of herself from the exquisitely camp-tastic Atlanta magazine 14-page photo spread featuring the Bravo reality stars.
Explains Zolciak: “Because the photos are gorgeous, I have posted them but please don’t waste your money or time in picking up this trash magazine.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta Show Wrap Up

Last night's episode seemed a tad too long......I think Lisa's segments are like watching paint dry. She is really grating on my nerves this season. I loved seeing the Nene and Dwight show and wish that Bravo would give them their own series. I am really liking Kim this season and it is interesting how the production shows her in an entirely new light. Kudos to Kim for her composure at the King Tut exhibit. I really, really like Kandi and her adorable little girl Riley. A.J......not so much....I'm just saying.........hoping she will reconsider her engagement. 6 children and 4 baby mamas at age 34? Does the phrase "birth control" mean anything to you? And does he have a J.O.B.? Sheree.....just plain manipulative and evil. Anyway, EW.com has a brilliant summary of the show so I thought I would share it.................

"Bravo had NeNe working overtime last night. First they commissioned her Lisa’s Mom invited NeNe to go to Lisa’s Grandmother’s 92nd birthday in Los Angeles. Ed isn’t good TV had a meeting to go to, so NeNe will go as Lisa’s date instead. Then NeNe orchestrated an evening of an open bar culture at a King Tut exhibit and convinced Kim to join the group of ladies. Hey, everyone’s kids are going to be there. What could go wrong? If the women want to top the New Jersey escapades, I pictured an ancient pharaoh Sheree sandwich.
Before we got to the main event, there was some ridiculousness to plow through. We got a scene of Kim and the kids doing their homework at the table under the new nanny’s watchful eye. The notion of verbs stumped the girls. Is sightseeing a verb? It’s an action, you know. But maybe it’s an adjective? Kim declared the question a Catch-22. Her oldest daughter Briele wondered how the phrase “in a jiffy” solved the conundrum. I started rocking in place at home. Finally Briele rapped a Spanish prayer to an awkward chicken dance. The nanny snapped and said the girl was going straight to hell. Kim was pissed. So pissed that she didn’t fire the nanny. (Woman’s got to work get her weave trimmed and she needs childcare.) But then the nanny went on a tampon run, leaving the kids at home alone, and that was the final straw. Nanny gone.
Kandi starred in a photo shoot to promote her revitalized singing ambitions and also to celebrate family. Problem was her Mom sulked in the corner eating a buffalo wing, and refused to so much as look A.J. in the eye. Riley looked like a doll, and was hopefully oblivious to the tension. A.J., a man of woefully few words, gave up after saying hello. Kandi, who strikes me as all the more moving because she internalizes her pain and doesn’t play it up for the cameras, seemed always on the verge of tears. Oh dear, I’m thinking we most likely won’t see a wedding this season. But I do wish her the team player she deserves. Also—those were pretty peacock feather earrings!
Bravo wants a piece of Dwight in every episode this slow season. So off NeNe toddled to his salon to get a manicure from Ruben Studdard. Dwight appeared in a gold suit straight out of Duckie’s closet. NeNe wants to find him a man. So he oozed into some caramel leather pants that left nothing to the imagination and joined Sheree for a night of speed dating. It was painful! Dwight asked event planners about their shoe sizes. Sheree suffered through 25-year-olds with restraining orders and one interminable joke from a good egg named George. Outside Lisa and NeNe, who put the whole evening together, congratulated themselves on their husbands and how they would never subject themselves to something as humiliating as speed dating. Smug wenches!
At King Tut, NeNe got a little prickly when she saw Kim and Kandi bonding in the corner. I love me some NeNe but that woman has a small streak. The new friendship put her in a fussy mood, and she sneered afterwards to the cameras that Kim was a fair weather friend and Kandi was just a little bit too “geh-toe, a little bit hood” for their group. Kandi, being the only sane one in this group. treated NeNe’s baiting with cool equanimity. Sheree and Lisa, who’d been snickering in the corner about Kim’s singing, pushed Dwight into a wretched version of Summertime. Kandi belted out a few pretty notes. NeNe sniffed that the girl wasn’t all that. A.J. stood in a corner texting his baby mamas.
Next week while Lisa tearfully wonders if she’s ready to visit her older brother’s grave. Here’s an idea, do it between seasons! I don’t want to be insensitive to her pain but I’m not sure that having cameras present helps with the grieving process. Also, Shereee starts a rumor that Kim told everyone in Atlanta that Lisa is a crack whore. "
p.s. Kim has a black puff of a dog named Chanel and a naked picture of her clutching her balloons hanging in the hallway. I had to rock myself to sleep.

I honestly think that Kim and Nene can be friends.....in my humble opinion, the troublemaker housewife is none other than Sheree (Sh're Devil) Whitfield. Things will be heated on tonight's episode but do you think that the Sh're Devil is to blame? The following is a copy of Ok Magazine's exclusive interview with Kim regarding the infamous alleged squabble. Watch what happens:

"There are new twists in the ongoing squabble over an alleged Housewife-on-Housewife attack.
On Wednesday, NeNe Leakes claimed that fellow Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zolciak was not an innocent victim in the alleged assault in which Kim claims NeNe “choked her out.”
Now Kim has admitted to OK! that she did “smack NeNe’s finger” — but insists she did not strike out first.
“Kim is trying to make it seem like, ‘I need an apology. I’m so hurt’,” NeNe said on Atlanta’s Q1000 radio station today of the fight that was alleged to have happened back in April.
“Well, can you please tell them what you did, ma’am?,” she challenged Kim. “If you let them know what you did, then we can go from there.”
When OK! put this to Kim, she said that she only touched her former best friend after NeNe put her hands around her throat.
“I was not pleased with the stuff that’s coming out her mouth, but as far as putting your hands on somebody, absolutely not. I didn’t touch her first,” she said.
But Kim did concede: “She put her hand in my face after she choked me the first time, and I smacked her finger out of my face.”
“I think I was so shocked that someone would strangle me.”

My Encounter With Nene Leakes....Fabulous! BAM!

It was a fabulous night. I attended the signing of Nene Leakes' new book "Never Make the Same Mistake Twice. All I can say is that Nene is all that and a bag of chips. She made a grand entrance with her husband Greg, dressed tastfully in a blue ruffled tank and black stretch jeans with high heels. She is very tall and attractive in person, with a really great figure. She commented that she hadn't eaten in 4 days and she was quite svelte. After her entrance, Nene walked through the long lines of her fans waiting for signing and literally said hello and hugged almost every person there. She spent a good 10 minutes interacting with the crowd and joking about the Housewives. Coincidentally, during this time, Lisa Wu Hartwell called and Nene put the call on speakerphone so that we could all say hello to Lisa. Lisa was somewhere watching her son Justin's football practice. Apparently, Nene and Lisa are still friendly. Nene made some remarks about being uncomfortable that someone would pull off her weave(joke at Kim's expense). Greg quietly sat at the table with Nene and assisted her with the signing. They were also promoting Nene's cruise in November. The details can be found at globalvacationstore.com.

Nene is a genuinely very down to earth, nice, bubbly , hysterically funny person and it was an indeed a pleasure to meet her. I have always been on Team Nene but now I want to be the captain.

Another Atlanta Housewife Faced Foreclosure

Remember the bowling alley in Lisa and Ed's house last season? Well, if you did see it featured on an episode last season, you had better remember it because we won't see it ever again. It has come to my attention that Lisa and Ed Hartwell lost their dream mansion to foreclosure. It appears that Ed's involuntary retirement from the NFL has wreaked havoc on their finances. They have settled in their home," a representative confirmed shortly after news broke that the reality star and her former Oakland Raiders hubby Ed Hartwell had lost the multi-million dollar home displayed on BRAVO's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" last year.In documents obtained by TMZ, the housewife, who also has children with R&B singer/producer Keith Sweat, lost the multi-million dollar home after a bank foreclosed on the property and sold it shortly thereafter.Wu-Hartwell's home was valued at $2.9 million upon purchase in 2007 but sold for $1.9 million after foreclosure.According to Wu-Hartwell's rep, the couples new home sits on 10 acres and is completely owned by the couple."

On the dust jacket of “Never Make the Same Mistake Twice: Lessons on Love and Life Learned the Hard Way” written with Denene Millner, Leakes is described as: “An active member of Atlanta society. She resides in an upscale area of Atlanta with her husband Gregg and their two sons. Nene donates her time to various charities and founded the Twisted Hearts Foundation to bring awareness of domestic violence against women.”
The book officially hits stores on Tuesday as Leakes begins a whirlwind media tour for the tome. Fans of the hit Bravo reality show will likely love the book written in Leakes’ trademark sassy voice. And there’s no shortage of dirt dishing and mud flinging either.

“Finally, I just said ‘Gregg, shut the hell up!’ right there with the cameras rolling and everything, honey!” Leakes tells the AJC with a laugh. “But I knew for real when that producer drove off, she was thinking ‘That’s one of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ right there.’ ”
Alas, Leakes concedes that being on a show that attracts millions of viewers each week can have its downside. Like when you’re trying to quietly buy some feminine hygiene products after hours at the Walgreen’s.
“Sometimes I’m not in the mood to be cute for people,” she explains. “But they’re not aware of the day I’ve had. That I’m tired and I’ve got cramps and I just need to buy some tampons. And then I see it on a blog that they can’t believe Nene is buying her tampons at Walgreen’s. Well, I hate to tell you but Neiman[-Marcus] and Saks [Fifth Avenue] don’t sell those!”
Leakes also writes about how she felt when she saw TV news reports about her and her family getting evicted from a rented house last year. In the book, she explains that the owner was being foreclosed on and the rent checks her family was sending in weren’t being used to pay the mortgage. She writes: “So finally we decided to move. We refused to pay another dime in rent because we felt like [the owner] wasn’t dealing with us in good faith.” (the issue was eventually settled in court).
“To see that splashed all over Fox 5 News, a station I’ve watched most of my adult life, was hurtful,” Leakes recalls. “Not only did they distort what happened but the two anchors were chit-chatting back and forth about me like they knew me!”
And while Leakes will likely have many admirers standing in line when she hits the Barnes & Noble in Buckhead starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the Borders in Lithonia at 7 p.m. on Thursday, her co-stars likely won’t be among the fans.
As predicted, Leakes lets loose in “Mistake” about the difficulties she’s encountered with wig-wearing nemesis Kim Zolciak and budding fashionista Sheree Whitfield.
Of Zolciak, Leakes writes: I’m not sure if she’s been clinically diagnosed but I’m convinced if she were to lie down on a doctor’s couch, a psychiatrist would surmise within minutes that Kim is a wack job.”
The title of the chapter devoted to Whitfield? “Watch the Girl Who Throws Rocks and Hides Her Hands.”
“I haven’t really thought a whole lot about how the other girls are going to respond to the book,” Leakes says. “But there’s nothing in that book that I wouldn’t say straight out to them to their face. I have a set of [male reproductive organs]. And my husband will tell you that when they drop out, it’s a terrible sight to see!”

OMG! Was last night show over the top or what? I don't know who is the most blameworthy among the castmembers. As of this moment,I think Sheree is the most culpable. She seems to really talk trash behind both Kim and Nene's backs. And as I have previously mentioned, I think she is the #1 Housewife candidate for anger management therapy. Lisa has replaced Deshawn Snow as the most boring housewife. Yawn city.

The following is an exclusive Peachbuzz interview with Nene Leakes where she dishes her side of Chokegate. Enjoy!

"In an interview with the AJC Friday, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member NeNe Leakes said that no charges have been filed or a warrant issued for her arrest following a April 14 incident with castmate Kim Zolciak at Atlantic Station.
Leakes confirmed that a disagreement materialized between the two women as Bravo cameras rolled outside Taste clothing boutique, a 17th Street shop owned by Teresa Caldwell, the mother of Atlanta rapper Bow Wow.
According to a police report filed by Atlanta police officer R.J. Byers on April 15, he met Zolciak at the Atlanta shopping center where she reported Leakes attempted to choke her during an argument. Byers reports witnesses broke up the skirmish. The officer also stated he advised Zolciak to “take pictures of any bruises to her neck” and to go to the Fulton County courthouse with the witnesses and request a warrant for Leakes’ arrest.
“There was never a warrant and there was never an arrest,” Leakes told the AJC. “The cameras were there. Everyone will see what really happened when it airs on the show. Kim has a problem. You need to type that out in big, bold letters. If she feels threatened, she should. I would never claim that someone put their hands on me and tried to choke me if it didn’t happen. For real. If that happens to someone for real, I would advise them to call the police and have that person arrested. That clearly didn’t happen.”
Leakes said viewers can expect more fireworks in next week’s edition of the hit Bravo reality show. The episode will pick up from Thursday night’s explosive argument between feuding “Housewives” Zolciak, Sheree Whitfield and Leakes.
The trio initially met at French American Brasserie restaurant downtown to try and negotiate a truce. Things quickly spiralled out of control with name-calling and shouting as shocked FAB staffers and diners looked on in horror.
In previews for the next week’s show, the three are seen screaming at each other on the sidewalk outside the eatery on Ivan Allen Boulevard.
“There might just be some wig-pulling, yes!” Leakes said laughing. “We called it an intervention, after all. The people inside the restaurant actually applauded when we left. It was like, ‘Thank God, those bitches are finally out of here!’ “

Kim Zolciak spoke with ET about her alleged altercation with Nene Leakes. I think an episode in which all of the housewives attend an anger management seminar is in order for Season 2.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" castmember Kim Zolciak is speaking out to ET about filing a police report against NeNe Leakes, who allegedly strangled Kim during a heated exchange.
Kim's publicist tells ET: "The police report that has went public today pertaining to my client Kim Zolciak and a serious physical altercation that was started by fellow housewife NeNe Leakes is a very serious matter that is still under investigation.
"Mrs. Leakes has now proven to the world that she is not the woman she claims. She has spoken publicly of being a former victim of domestic violence and her charity work to help others that have suffered the same. And then she would have such anger to choke my client instead of acting like a REAL woman and talking their personal conflicts out or simply walking away. Violence is a very serious issue and we are not going to be taking this incident lightly.

Nene Leakes Charms Morning Television Audience on the Today Show

This morning Nene Leakes appeared on the 10:00 hour of the Today Show with Hoda Kotbe. She sported a plum dress, chandelier earrings, a sassy summer hairstyle and, of course, her smile. She was very natural, charming and down to earth and eased her stage fright by sipping on a margarita from her favorite Mexican restaurant Cinco's, in Duluth, Georgia.

Other highlights of the show:

Nene is writing a book entitled "Never Make The Same Mistake Twice which will hit the stores in August.
She was accompanied by her husband, Greg and her son, Brandon.
According to Nene, the RHOA is still the highest rated of the Housewives shows.
Nene is a germaphobe.
Nene has 3 close girlfriends and "lots of associates".

The premiere of Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta is on Tuesday, July 28th at 10pm. I look forward to another fabulous season!! Bring it on.

Way (Weigh) to Go Helen, Mike, Tara and Jerry on The Biggest Loser!

Last night was a television watcher's paradise. Between American Idol, The Biggest Loser, Reunion Show of The Real Housewives of NY, the premiere of the Real Housewives of NJ and Rescue Me, my DVRs were hard at work.

I sat down to watch the Biggest Loser with a large glass of Pillar House Red , a salad, steak and steamed spinach. After all, watching all the exercising caused me to work up a big appetite. I was so disappointed that my girl, Tara did not win The Biggest Loser! I think that they should have given her an advantage because she won 12 challenges on the ranch. I must applaud Helen and her incredible weight loss, especially since she is over 40 and it is harder for the pounds to come off. Mike, the 18 year old, is an inspiration for all of us. And the at home Biggest Loser, Jerry was amazing. I never would have guessed that he would take the prize. What an inspiration.

Hopefully this will inspire me to start working out on a regular basis again. Unfortunately, working out is one of those things is more fun watching than participating. I'm waiting for the motivation to kick in.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Premieres Tonight on Bravo!

As a New Jersey native, I am really anticipating the premiere of the RHONJ. It seems like old home week to hear the New Jersey accents and to see the small towns in Northern New Jersey, a stones throw from my hometown. Can this series surpass the others?

The following is a review of the show in today's New York Times:

"All the other housewives, those passels of pampered, primping, social-climbing, Botox-injecting spendthrifts in Orange County, Atlanta and New York, are not the real thing.
All those McMansions, swimming pools, boutiques, charity auctions and spa splurges have been merely rehearsals, introductory rounds leading to the apotheosis of the Bravo “Real Housewives” franchise, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
The New Jersey housewives are more real and more riveting than their predecessors because, well, they are from New Jersey, and also because they so closely mirror the make-believe characters in “The Sopranos.” The best reality shows look like fiction. The five women who make their debuts on Bravo on Tuesday night are buffed and polished to resemble real-life versions of Carmela Soprano, loud, nasal, nouveau-riche wives who raise spoiled children and spend their husbands’ money in vast marble and onyx starter palaces in Franklin Lakes, N.J. They boast about everything, including how soon they qualified for the black American Express card. As Danielle Staub puts it, “I actually got mine before Madonna did.”
Viewers already know the milieu, the accent and the attitude. The rest is delicious: clannish sisters and sisters-in-law who squabble among themselves but band against newcomers.
“We’re a large Italian family and we’re tougher than most,” Caroline Manzo, the matriarch in the group, explains. “Before I like you, I don’t like you.”
Toughness is part of the pedigree. Caroline is married to Albert Manzo, owner of the Brownstone, a catering and banquet business in Paterson N.J., and the son of Albert (Tiny) Manzo, whose 350-pound body was found riddled with gunshot wounds, his arms and legs bound in plastic, in the trunk of his Lincoln Continental in 1983.
This may be the most preposterous “Housewives” edition, but it’s also the most believable. The suffocating family ties are an improvement over past incarnations, when producers often threw together women who were not really that close and whose frictions often seemed forced. These women actually do know one another well, talk every day and raise their children together (badly). The camera crew seems to be eavesdropping, rather than masterminding. Some of the women seem to have a sense of humor, or at least to enjoy the joke that is their lives on film.
Caroline’s baby sister Dina, a statuesque blonde, is married to Albert’s brother, Tommy, so they are sisters married to brothers. The sisters’ brother, Chris, is married to Jacqueline Laurita, a former Las Vegas cosmetologist, and Dina and Caroline treat Jacqueline as a younger, more biddable sister.
“Her heart is as big as her bubbies,” Dina says of her sister-in-law, meaning it as a compliment. (Bubbies is their preferred term for breasts, a topic that is always on the table.)
They are not directly related to Teresa Giudice, who is married to Joe, a self-described entrepreneur and the owner of a construction business, but they might as well be. Teresa, the mother of three small girls, is the biggest spender in the group, always shopping for new clothes and more ornate furniture for her family’s unfinished French-style chateau.
The economic slump is rarely if ever mentioned on “Real Housewives.” Partly, that’s because it’s a buzzkill for viewers hooked on the free-floating vulgarity. But the men and women who agree to be on the show have more prosaic motives than just vanity or exhibitionism — fame brings publicity, and publicity is good for business, be it catering, event planning or real estate.
So the recession is mentioned only in passing. “I hear the economy’s crashing,” Teresa says saucily on her way to another spree. “So that’s why I pay cash.”
Danielle, who is divorced and not a relative or even Italian-American, is the outsider. She befriended Jacqueline at the beauty parlor, and is on “frenemy” terms with the rest of the women. None are particularly prudish or reserved, but Danielle has no secrets, not even about phone sex.
Locations and accents change, but the faces (frozen) and the formula never alter. The humor lies in the editing, and one of the hallmarks of “Real Housewives” is its reliance on ironic contrast: a woman makes a boastful assertion that is instantly contradicted by tape of her doing or saying the opposite.
“I am so not a stage mom,” Teresa says, while the show turns to footage of her coaching her young daughter, Gia, who is made up like a pageant contestant for a dance recital.
Bravo has already shown a “preview special” that contains much of the material found in Tuesday’s premiere episode. It doesn’t matter. There is nothing linear to the show’s narrative; instead, cat fights and outrageous remarks are played and replayed in every episode in a continuous estrogen loop. Like Nicholson Baker’s time-lapse novels, each season of “Real Housewives” can take weeks, and endless detours and heated arguments, to get from the nail salon to the fashion show.
“Housewives of New York City” seems to drag on forever because there is something so dismal and joyless about that clique of arrivistes. “Housewives of New Jersey” is more farcical, less phony and a lot more fun

"Real Housewive's of Atlanta's" Kim Zolciak decided to blast me on-air today via The Bert Show on Q100 in Atlanta and I decided to not let her have the last word.Especially when the wig wearing BITCH had the balls to lie about me and expect me not to respond!!! Like me or not, the truth must come out some where.I really hope Big Poppa gets the picture soon. She is constantly running around on him. I had to lie for her too many times. He is a great guy. I hope he realizes her tactics.For goodness sake, I guess you can expect too much from a former stripper of "The Cheetah!" . Kandi Burruss Goes Into Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta With An Open Mind

Richard Eldredge of the infamous Peachbuzz column in the AJC dished about the newest Atlanta housewife after her appearance at the Q100 studios in Atlanta...

"When “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss popped by the Q100 studios Thursday morning to promote their joint birthday party Friday tonight at Aja in Buckhead, the drama wasn’t far behind.

Still, for fans of the inexplicably popular Bravo reality series, it gave listeners an opportunity to get acquainted with Burruss, a former member of the 1990s R&B group Xscape and co-writer of the TLC hit single, “No Scrubs.”

Burruss will join the cast when the show’s second season premieres July 28.

So how did the singer-songwriter get talked into doing the weekly televised train wreck?

“I watched the first season and was a fan of the show,” Burruss explained. “I went into it open-minded.”

Naturally, Zolciak’s memorably awful stints as a singer during the show’s first season became a topic of conversation. Buzz readers will recall that Zolciak was shown on-air being mentored by Atlanta producer Dallas Austin and tutored by Atlanta vocal coach Jan Smith who later compared Zolciak’s voice to an attractive house — with a cracked foundation.

“It was an inaccurate portrayal,” said Zolciak. “I saw [Jan Smith] a lot and I spent a lot of time in the studio with Dallas. They just aired the crazy footage."

Kim and Kandi's birthday party was on Friday at Aja, a fabulous restaurant in Atlanta. More to follow!

Recessionista Budget Wine Recommendation

For those of you who read this blog, you know that I became a fan of red wines after my trip to Buenos Aires. My every day drinking wine has been Norton Malbec Reserve, which I purchase at Costco for $12.99 a bottle. It is very smooth and rich with a wonderful slightly berry palate. To make it even better, I never get a hangover after drinking it.

I have know discovered another fabulous wine at Costco, Pillar Box Red from South Australia. It sells for $9.99 a bottle and is a blend of 65% shiraz, 25% cabernet sauvignon and 10% merlot. It is quite drinkable and delicious and as many Australian wines, comes with a no muss no fuss twist off top. The following are the notes from the winemaker:

"Displaying a dark color and a vibrant purple hue, the 2007 Pillar Box Red has bright aromas of blue and dark berry fruit entwined with licorice, spearmint and cigar box complexity. The palate is rich and fleshy, with flavors of fresh blackcurrant and blueberry fruit combined with orange rind, dark chocolate and spicy smoky oak characters. Whilst the tannins are full, the palate is round, soft and well balanced, leading into a lingering harmonious finish."

I highly recommend this wine......you will not be disappointed!

In today's AJC.com, Nedra Rhone reports that Lisa Wu-Hartwell and partner Evelyn Lambert have unveiled a new dressy clothing line named "Closet Freak". The photos of the clothing have not been released but are described as classical yet elegant and flirtatious. As a person who is obsessed with her closet, I totally love the name. It sounds as if Lisa is much further along than Sheree Whitfield's She by Sheree. Check it out:

Lisa Wu-Hartwell is betting that her new clothing line of that very name will make sense to both.
“I wanted very classical, elegant pieces, but still a little flirtatious. I think these days a lot of women overexpose themselves to get attention,” said Wu-Hartwell of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
The 18-piece collection, including skirts, tops, jumpsuits and dresses, debuts at an invite-only showing tonight in Midtown.
This won’t be Wu-Hartwell’s first foray into design —- she oversees Hart to Hart Baby and Wu Girls Design jewelry, both of which she has scaled back to focus on Closet Freak —- but she is quick to admit she’s no designer.
“I’ve always loved fashion … the ‘studying’ I have done is going to retail shops for years and knowing quality,” she says.
Rather than go it alone, Wu-Hartwell hooked up with Atlanta-based designer and American InterContinental University graduate Evelyn Lambert. A transplanted Brit, Lambert originally dreamed of owning an airline, but after landing in Atlanta in the mid-’90s and sensing a lag in fashion, she thought she could make a difference. She started designing handbags, and later added an upscale fashion line.
Closet Freak was initially envisioned as T-shirt-oriented casualwear. But after chatting with Lambert and viewing sketches, Wu-Hartwell had a change of mind. She and Lambert opted for more detailed and dressed-up clothing, which they describe as comparable in style and price to the fashions at women’s retailer Bebe.
There are jersey dresses with ruffled necklines, strapless jumpsuits with blousy pant legs, bubble skirts and print blouses in sheer silk chiffon and silk charmeuse. Colors are bright —- purples, greens and pinks —- for spring; and there are florals, animal prints and basic black.
Atlanta shoppers could see some items in local boutiques soon, Lambert said, but manufacturing details have yet to be nailed down.
Proceeds from Closet Freak, which Wu-Hartwell considers more of a movement than just a line of clothing, benefit the Big Hart Foundation, the Hartwells’ nonprofit organization to aid children and female victims of domestic violence.
For closet freaks, meaning those who love their closets, or closet freaks, as in those who dress ladylike in public but ramp up the sexy behind closed doors —- or for anyone who happens to have an alter-ego (see the “Real Housewives” pole dancing episode from Season 1) —- Wu-Hartwell says, this one is for you."

Lee Najjar, Kim Zolciak's Alleged Big Poppa, Makes An Appearance on MTV Cribs

I was flipping through the channels the other day and came across Teen Cribs on MTV. This show highlights various palatial estates of very fortunate teenagers. Ironically, on the day I tuned in, the show featured the palatial mansion of Lee Najjar, alleged boyfriend of Real Housewives of Atlanta Zim Zolciak. His younger children, Jamen, a sophomore in high school and Katelin, a freshman in college, were the tour guides. All I can say is that this home is over the top! Both children are very well mannered and attractive. Katelin was a contestant in the the Miss Georgia Teen Pageant and received the Miss Congeniality Prize....watch out Sandra Bullock. She attends college in LA but flies home every weekend because it is so much fun! Jamen says that he is a music producer and has a recording studio in the home to make his music. Thus the connection to the Dallas Austin crowd.

According to http://www.homesoftherich.net,/ the 16,000 + square feet home is located on W Paces Ferry Road NW in Atlanta, GA and has a massive foyer with grand sweeping staircase (Katelin says she will walk down these steps the day she gets married), a huge ballroom, a gourmet kitchen with adjoining breakfast room, numerous bedrooms suites, a recording studio, an amazing home theater with a wrought iron door, a swimming pool, a tanning bed room, a game room with ping pong table, a gentleman's club with special filtration for smoke, a beauty and nail salon, a massage room, a moroccan room complete with a hooka pipe, a massive pool House, a basketball court, and an outdoor hibachi grill. The family cars include several Rolls Royce, Mercedes and Range Rover.

The show also cameos "Lee" ( no last name), the father who is in "real estate" and the mother, "Kim", who is very attractive and wearing massive jewelry. She is shown in the kitchen cooking, eventhough the family has a personal chef. Kim and Lee's bed features his and hers televisions under the canopy. And as Katelin says, noone can sit in Big Poppa's chair if he is at home.

Cash For Gold ...The Sign of the Times?

I don't usually talk business on this blog but right now it is my #1 priority. The current economic climate has seriously impinged upon my revenues, profits (or should I say lack thereof) and consequently, my lifestyle. I have not taken a paycheck in 2009 and suffice it to say the my W-2 from 2008 was substantially lacking. I had to cut back my monthly spending budget which include my personal training sessions 3 times a week, my weekly massage, my monthly facial, weekly blow drys, wining and dining several times per week, discontinued my membership in the Ravinia Club, traveling almost monthly and shopping. It has been an adjustment I am dealing with and hope that it is only temporary.

So, in order to generate some good ol spending money, I decided to hit up the jewelry stash. I have alot of old gold jewelry I don't wear because it is either out of style or broken. On Sunday night, I went through the stash and picked out the unwanted ugly earrings, rings, chains and necklaces.....my opal ring I got for my sweet 16, the coral ring my grandmother gave me, old bangle bracelets and earrings I would never wear.My research indicated that the popular "cash for gold" places advertised online and on television are a big ripoff and there are alot of peole between the seller and the refiner. So if you are thinking of selling jewelry, go to your city's most reputable diamond dealer/ jeweler. On Monday I paid a visit to Atlanta's favorite diamond dealer/jeweler Solomon Brothers. Their business is on the 17th floor of a Buckhead highrise and it is like going to Fort Knox coupled with jewelry heaven. OMG! Diamonds and jewels to die for. I had to focus and remember I was there to sell and not to buy. I was escorted into a private room where one of the Solomon brothers examined each piece of jewelry with his jeweler's scope to determine whether it was 14k or 18k. Then the pile was put on the scale and weighed. The going rate was based upon the market rate for that hour. I ended up walking away with a sizable check and a big smile. Today I went to the bank, deposited a small amount and chose to take the bulk in cash. I have it tucked away in a safe place. In the days of the 1930s depression, our forefathers took their cash and hid it under the mattress. In the 2009 depression, alot of people are doing the same thing and I am one of them. My stash will see me through this rough patch and allow me to splurge every now and then. Vegas anyone?

Summer Chastain Park Concert Season Begins

Atlanta is so beautiful this time of year....dogwoods, azaleas, cherry blossoms, tulips...you name it. And with the flowers of spring comes the summer concert season. Chastain Park is my favorite venue....bar none! It is a medium size outdoor amphitheater and if you are lucky enough to score a table up front, you can bring your finest in tableware, food and beverages and have a kick ass picnic while listening to good music. I have been fortunate to have a table up front for the Atlanta Symphony Series on Friday nights. The concerts arent always the kind of music I would seek out concert tickets for, but I have never seen a bad concert there, especially after the wine is flowing. The table seats 6 and I entertain my friends there since I do not do much at home entertaining except for my yearly Super Bowl extravaganza. The group usually includes Cougar in Training who is now a full blown cougar , the Saint, Rock Star's Soon To Be Ex Wife and other fun people. I have some Chastain pictures posted on Facebook for my Facebook Friends if you would like to see the cast of characters in all their glory.

This year the series includes Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, Loggins and Messina, The Temptations, Ashford & Simpson and Edwin McCain. Party time on Fridays.

There is another series which features more current bands/groups and a friend of mine has tickets for that. So, to kick it off tonight, we are going to see Hall & Oates. It is a perfect night for a concert. So we will be there singing Maneater, She's Gone and She's a Rich Girl. Good friends plus good food and plenty of wine equals a great night. Details to follow!

I absolutely love the movie "Almost Famous"! I saw it on cable last night. Kate Hudson and Billy Crudip really captured the essence of the 70s. I loved the clothing/costumes and the music. It is one of those movies that I will watch every time it comes on television, as long as it is on cable and I don't have to watch commercials.

One of the other reasons I love the movie is that I lived a version of the storyline as a rock and roll groupie. In the late 80's, I had just broken up with the guy I had been dating. I was pretty down in the dumps about it. A friend of mine invited me to go to a concert with her. I was not in the mood to go but decided to accept. The name of the band is being omitted due to my bloganoia; however, they are in the Rock and Roll Hall Hall of Fame. We had backstage passes to the show at either the Omni or Lakewood....I have destroyed too many brain cells to remember. She knew the band personally and had been sleeping with one of the members whenever they crossed paths. She introduced me to the lead singer/frontman of the band. As I was still obsessed with my break up, it took me a little while to realize that he was seriously flirting with me......I looked over my shoulder....no, it wasn't some other chick behind me... it was me. We watched the show from backstage and the lead singer invited me to meet him for drinks at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead after the show. I did and after thinking that a public persona like this couldn't possible be interested in me, especially when I was low in self esteem at the time, he was still interested in me. We talked, kissed and he said he would call. He really did. I was shocked. The group came back to town for a private concert and we were invited along...actually it was for the Ace Hardware international convention for all of its store owners. All of the women were going apeshit over this guy but he keep looking at me. We met up after the concert and he was still interested. I couldn't believe it. The feeling of knowing that all of these women wanted him but he was gonna end up with me was very intoxicating. I spent the night with him in his suite. We kept in touch and I actually traveled to other cities to see him perform. All the women would try to get his attention but it was me who he was with after the show. He was a really cool guy with a fun sense of humor and cool clothing and jewelry. This continued for some time. He eventually married someone who traveled with the band......he had been married many times..... and they had a kid shortly thereafter . I still attended the concerts and would see him after the shows....it was cool. If the wife was not there, he would try to get me to hook up which I did not do. One of the best nights was when I took the band to Waffle House in the middle of the night. It was a scream. Up until a year or so ago, I would still go backstage for all of the concerts but decided to give it up. I had a picture of M's son when he was a kid and sent the picture backstage to M. He called after the concert. What a bittersweet conversation. The son was getting ready to go to college. The memories......the fun and wild times. I am proud to say that I loved being a groupie and hanging with the band. I hear that they are playing in Atlanta this summer.... don't know if I will go to the concert or not.... As Kate Hudson(Penny Lane) which is my fictitious name I use when I go out, said in the movie "If you ever miss your friends, you can always go and visit them in the record store". Too bad we don't have record stores these days. Actually, one of their most famous songs is a theme song for a big HBO show and I hear him sing at least once a week and whenever I get the itch I play their music library on my ipod. Ironically, I took some sort of quiz on Facebook regarding which 80s band you are and it picked this band who wasnt popular in the 80s.

Every woman should have a groupie experience on her bucket list..... I also had a foray into sportscasters, professional and college coaches which is worthy of another post. I don't regret any of those days and wish that I could have a "do over" and do it all over again.

A New Resource for Budget Fashionistas!

I read the March issue of Allure Magazine as I got my mani/pedi on Saturday afternoon. There was an ad in Allure for TJMaxx Runway. The Runway is a department for designer fashions. So in a curious impulse, I decided to check out the neighborhood TJMaxx on Sunday afternoon. I had never been in this store. I headed straight for the Runway department. Much to my surprise and amazement, I found Missoni, Valentino, Michael Kors, Nanette Lepore, Vivian Tam, Ralph Lauren and many other labels including True Religion, JBrand(my fave) and 7 Jeans. It is one of these places where you have to kull through all of the racks but there were some real bargains in there. Time flew by as I realized I had been browsing for 1 1/2 hours. I bought a Missoni sweater(another one of my faves), several Michael Kors tunics which could almost rival Tori Burch tunics, and a few cute tops and tshirts. I also bought an amazing pair of beautiful Italian black leather boots which zip up the front( they are like butta!) and 2 other cute knockaround pairs of sandals. The boots would have retailed for at least $600 in a department or specialty store. The price was $175. I actually went into a shopping coma/blackout/frenzy and by the time I brought my cart(!) up to the check out, I spent almost $1000 at TJ Maxx. Holy shit! Mind you I didnt try anything on. In a state of remorse I later went unshopping and returned most of it. Kept the boots, shoes, tshirts and JBrand Jeans. Restraint is the word of the week. When is this economy going to turn around? Cougar needs some serious retail therapy.

I think I am a little bit slow, figuratively speaking. Before tuning into the 11 pm Millionaire Matchmaker show on Bravo, I decided to google Cidney, the woman who was engaged to Paul, Vegas real estate magnate, on their first date last season! Were they still together? I was totally incredulous that this could really happen but it made for good television for Patti Stanger for the season 1 finale. Long story made short, after the show, this match made in heaven broke their engagement...no big surprise for those with average intelligence. Moreover, to make this story even more scandalous(shout out to my sistas Scandy, Lushess and Steph, at the fabulous blog Scandalous Housewife http://www.slandaloushousewife.net/), was that Cidney, portrayed as a nice, wholesome student , is really a Playboy Cybermate!! She is on the Playboy website, displaying what her mama (shout out to Mama at another fabulous blog, The Kitchen http://www.thchaos.blogspot.com/) gave her. How interesting that Patti did not reveal Cidney's true profession....nude model, on television ! I think this is sheer misrepresentation. Just asking.....did Patti do a background check? Does Patti ever run background checks on her stable? Does Patti and her staff troll the Playboy website to find "fresh meat" for her millionaires club?Do you think that the millionaire knew this before he proposed or did he propose to get with a Playboy model? Did they obey Patti's 3 month no sex rule? Your thoughts/comments?

Helping dysfunctional zillionaires that lack social skills, or have short attention spans, who need help in finding true love. In Hollywood, there are millions of pretty girls, I’m surprised these guys aren’t able to find love on their own. Wait a minute, that’s right, they want a girl who REALLY loves them.
I’m curious, why isn’t Patti Stanger married yet? Maybe cause she’s abrasive and too bossy? Who knows? Although she has a steady boyfriend, they haven’t made it down the aisle yet.
A few interesting tidbits about our girl. Patti frequently berates her male and female clients when they don’t live up to her standards on “The Millionaire’s Club”. On March 5, 2008 TMZ.com reported that two females, “Cidney” and “Marcela”, who were actively being “introduced” by Patti to her millionaire clients were not who they were purported to be. The former, who was described as “a wholesome Jewish girl with a Masters in Journalism” was also a Playboy model (although that fact was mentioned in the episode). And it was alleged that Marcela resembled an escort working in the Miami area, although no proof was ever provided to substantiate that claim.
What do they expect for a gold digging service? My bet is she’s a Leo or Aries. What do you think? Either way, I love the show."

Real Housewives of Atlanta Kim Zolciak Settles Legal Issues With Jonathan Jaxson

According to Rodney Ho's post on www.ajc.com Kimmie has settled her dispute with her publicist, Jonathan Jaxson. They will be having a parting of the ways. All of these issues do not help Kim gain more fans for her "role" on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak has settled a financial spat with publicist Jonathan Jaxson. The two had exchanged lawsuits, Jaxson accusing her of not paying her bills and she blaming him for “hijacking” her Web site.

My former client Kim Zolciak and I have settled our differences which includes voluntarily dismissing all pending legal claims against one another. As a post script to my recent post about Patti Stanger, People Magazine reports that 47 year old Patti underwent a breast reduction surgery between season 1 and season 2 going from 36DDs to 34 D and now has perfect "teardrop" shaped breasts. Moreover, she claims to have lost 25 pounds and weighs 130 and is trying to reach her "fighting weight" of 112. She thinks she looks thin, sexy and that her clothes look amazing on her. What? Stop the presses.....her clothes look amazing on her? She needs to look in the mirror. Get a stylist Patti! You look like a tranny karaoke singer in a sleazy lounge show. I think that Patti might be the biggest narcissist on Bravo, even more so than the Real Housewives of Atlanta, New York and Orange County put together.

Yes, I admit that I have watched this season's Millionaire Matchmaker. I am absolutely astonished to see how Patty Stanger has marketed herself to be the matchmaker of all times. Do I watch to see how many unhappy millionaires are unable to find happiness on their own? Perhaps. Do I watch to see which of these mostly neurotic males will throw down in excess of $30,000 for a one year membership to a club of mostly vacuous mass produced Barbies? Perhaps. Or to watch the pathetic cocktail parties? Maybe so. Do I watch to see Patty("Tranny wants a cracker") the parrot Stanger repeats her expensive crass advice over and over again? Definitely not. I am so sick of hearing "does the penis go up or down off the couch" over and over again. The real reason I enjoy this show is to marvel how Patty does not heed her own advice! Has she looked in the mirror recently? Or has she been looking at the airbrushed promotional shots of herself...you know the ones which show her with thin long legs and a slim body. In relative terms, Betheny of RHONY does not need her photos airbrushed. Patty does!Here are some other random thoughts about Patty:

She looks just like a tranny I saw in the Lucky Cheng Drag Show in Vegas

Her wig/hair is heinous.....you are too friggin old to wear your hair like a Patty Playpal doll...for those of you who remember

Kim Zolciak is skipping out on a charity event - for her own charity

As you may have ascertained, I have tried to be on Team Kim for Season 2, but she has been disappointing me. Rodney Ho of AJC.com reports that Kim has skipped out on her own charity event today. Instead she is sunning in the Bahamas. He also reports that she may have had a recent altercation with Nene. Let's see what I can find out here in Hotlanta. More to follow and as Bravo says "watch what happens"............

"Sigh… I thought I could get through this week without writing about Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” But these women can’t help themselves.
Kim Zolciak was supposed to make a “special appearance” at an event Saturday in which attendees donate gently used shoes for a charity she started to help battered women. But Zolciak reneged, flying to the Bahamas this morning instead.
“Kim has gone out of town for some mental R&R,” said Cori Davenport, her good friend and co-founder of Shoes for Shattered Hearts, which she and Zolciak started last year. “She’s going to make it up to Monkee’s,” the shoe store hosting the event.

At 2 p.m. EST, I called the hotel where Zolciak is staying in the Bahamas and got a confirmation from the front desk that she was there. As of Friday afternoon, Zolciak had not directly contacted Jaci Shiendling, who came up with the idea and is organizing the event, about her change of schedule. This is the foundation’s first official event.
“It’s a sucker punch to the stomach,” Shiendling told me today about Zolciak’s absence. “But my goal is to get shoes to these women. I hope we get more boxes of shoes than we know what to do with.”

What’s odd about all this is NeNe Leakes, Kim’s “frenemy” on the show, has a similar non-profit group called Twisted Hearts Foundation, based on Leakes’ own experiences as a battered woman in the past.
Shiendling said Leakes on Thursday coincidentally came to the store Monkee’s minus Bravo TV cameras. (The show is currently filming season two.) The owner Jacqueline Toulon asked Leakes if she was coming to the event. Toulon said Leakes asked, “What event?” Leakes, she said, didn’t seem upset but told told Toulon about her own, very similar, foundation. Toulon then tried to sell her some shoes but got no sale.
Mediatakeout.com reported that there was some sort of altercation last night between NeNe and Kim. Might this foundation overlap be the crux of the argument?

As of March 2009, Bella Azul, Inc., the failed retail store of Real Housewives of Atlanta 's Sheree Whitfield owes $66,647.25 to the state. A fifa tax lien was filed against the corporation in December, 2008, in Fulton County, Georgia. According to the Georgia Secretary of State Corporations Division, Sheree Whitfield is the Registered Agent, CEO and CFO of Bella Azul.

It looks like she has an anger management problem together with a mean right hook!

"She's a hissing, claws-out socialite on the hit Bravo reality show "Real Housewives of New York City," but Kelly Bensimon turned into a butt-kicking boyfriend beater in her posh lower-Manhattan coop last week, court records claim.
The 6-foot-tall, 40-year-old former model, horse fancier and one-time marathon runner got into a fight last week with her boyfriend, 30-year-old Nick Stefanov, and clocked him, giving him a black eye and opening a blood-gushing gash on his left cheek, according to the records.
Stefanov fled her apartment on Centre Street after the Tuesday-morning beating and reported the mother of two to cops at the 5th Precinct station.
A source said Bensimon at the time was sporting "a fat lip."
Bensimon surrendered two days later and was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault. She's due in court March 31.
"We got engaged a couple weeks ago," Stefanov told one friend. "We got into an argument that escalated and escalated. She hauled off and started swinging. She got a lucky punch on my cheekbone and just split it right open. I went down to the police station covered in blood."
Stefanov declined to speak directly to The Post, but told pals he went to his hometown of Pittsburgh because he was embarrassed to be seen in New York with a black eye and cut face.
"If I had done it to her, I would have been put in jail immediately," Stefanov told his friend.
"My injuries are worse than Rihanna's - and Chris Brown was charged with two felonies."
After dating Bensimon for nearly four years, and being a surrogate father to her two daughters, taking them to soccer games and ballet classes, Stefanov isn't ready to end their relationship.
But when he got back to New York a few days later, he learned there was a restraining order that prevents both parties from contacting each other.
"I sent her an e-mail, and the cops called me and said you can't do that," Stefanov told a friend. "It's snowballing into something no one ever intended."
Bensimon's lawyer, Stephen Turano, called the charges "unfounded."
A Bravo spokeswoman said the show "doesn't comment on the private lives of our talent."
An e-mail to her ex-husband, fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon, who is the father of the couple's two daughters, was not returned.
Kelly Bensimon ran the New York City Marathon in 2007, wrote a book on bikinis and was a columnist for Page Six Magazine.
She also modeled for Elle, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar, and was the face for Clarins."

According to Rick Eldredge of Peach Buzz, one of my favorite sources for celebrity dish, Sheree Whitfield has more legal woes as of the beginning of season 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Obviously, her brash sense of entitlement doesn't work with her attorneys or the legal system. And her google eyed ex husband is flat broke. Bring on the drama mamas!

"Bravo may have to rename this show “The Legal Woes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

As Buzz readers will recall, “RHA” cast member Sheree Whitfield recently dismissed an appeal that sought alimony from her ex-husband Bob Whitfield, saying the former NFL player was now broke.

Now Sheree herself is being sued for more than $87,000 by her former legal representative for the divorce, Levine & Smith.

The complaint, dated Feb. 2, 2009, and filed at the Superior Court of Fulton County, states that Sheree Whitfield owes $69,343.98 in principal going back to May 10, 2006.

Interest on the unpaid amount, based on a monthly interest rate of 1.5%, is $17,832.93 through January 31, 2009, according to the filing.

According to the complaint: “Defendant’s refusal to pay said debt as agreed constitutes an act of bad faith and has caused the plaintiff unnecessary trouble and expense, thereby entitling plaintiff to an award of its expenses of litigation, including reasonable attorney’s fees in an amount to be proven by the evidence at trial.”

Steven Montalto, the attorney representing Levine & Smith, told us the firm has been unable to find Sheree Whitfield in order to serve her the summons and a copy of the complaint.

Efforts to reach Sheree Whitfield for comment have been unsuccessful.

When I moved into my house, which is an old 5 bedroom colonial, I decided to transform the bedroom adjoining the master into a closet to fulfill my fashionista needs. I called in a closet company and they did a fabulous job. My life might be a disaster but my closet is always organized and perfect. I guess you might even say that I have closet obsessive compulsive disorder. I have a designated place for blouses, jeans, other pants, pants suits, jackets, sweaters, scarves, belts, tshirts,jewelry and handbags. The shoes are in labeled boxes with a description of the shoe and the season and year I bought them. I thought of taking a polaroid of each pair but I have never gotten around to it. I have most of my handbags stuffed with paper to keep their shape. Ironically, I hardly ever change handbags. I have been carrying a plum croc satchel since November. I have recently changed out alot of hangers.....wood for the velvet thin hangers sold by Joy Mangano on HSN or one of those channets. They are great because nothing slips off the hangers and you can fit more clothes into your closet. Periodically, I will get into a purge mode and will go through the closet and dispose of anything I haven't worn for a while or items which are too small or don't look good on me. I have some friends who like to shop in the closet when I clean.

Cougar Goes to School Today

I speculate that most of my beloved blog readers do not know that I am a lawyer and have been so for so for 24 years. I only practice law as the in house counsel for my company and give out advice to my friends and family who may have legal questions. I did the whole big law firm thing as a commercial real estate attorney representing lenders in large commercial transactions.....meaning if you want to buy the Georgia Dome I might be the attorney (deal breaker) representing the bank. It was the most boring job I ever had and I worked with a bunch of pompous assholes who basically hated everyone who didn't go to the University of Georgia.

Anyway, I digress. In order to maintain my license to practice law, I must take a certain number of continuing legal education hours each year. I am officially behind 5.5 hours for 2008 so I am playing catch up today. I am sitting in a large conference room in the State Bar of Georgia hedquarters attending a course entitled "Fundamentals of Health Care Law". With age comes a very short attention span for sitting still in seminars. I actually dressed up today in case there were any hot men to meet. Unfortunately, I don't think that will be the case. In general, I do not like to date attorneys. They can be know it all narcissists who love to argue for the sake of arguing which becomes very ammoying.

I am going to try to slip out at lunchtime. I do not think I will be able to sit here until 4pm! In the interim I am going to come up with a list of blog topics. Any suggestions?

Toddlers and Tiaras...New Trainwreck TV on TLC

Rock Star's Soon To Be Ex-Wife and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire on Saturday night(A+++- one of the best movies ever) and before we left her house, she had the television tuned into a show with which I was not familiar.....Toddlers and Tiaras. In a nutshell, it follows trailer trash parents and their poor ~~victims~~ children preparing for and participating in beauty pageants...we are seriously talking about girls ages 1-13. It was total trainwreck television!! I couldn't believe my eyes. These ~~child abusers~~ stage parents transformed their babies into harlots....we are talking wigs, hairpieces, eye makeup, fake eyelashes, fake teeth and despicable horrendous, tacky dresses, gowns and bathing suits. I was surprised I didn't see any implants...lip or breast.

I am appalled by the shit these parents actually put their children through.....I think it will psychologically scar the kids forever. All I could think of was poor Jon Benet. Narcissists in training!

The funniest part of the show was a pageant for mothers and daughters. Horrors of horrors. Enter one trailer trash mother who wore a gold lame all in one costume with her fat gut and belly rolls hanging out and twirled a baton in the talent portion. She actually put on a bathing suit and walked the catwalk with big thunderous cellulite thighs. Her hair was long, unkempt and looked like she hadn't had a haircut in years. To top it off, she had let her color grow out so the top part of her hair looked like she was wearing a cap. I screamed and howled in horror! Rocker's Ex couldn't believe how I reacted, but she agreed with me. I think she is not as passionate a fashionista police as I am. And one of the daddies has more estrogen than I do.... fussing over his daughter's frilly dress(probably has an identical one in his closet)....and working on the kid's dance steps telling her to be sexy. Ugh! So, if you have some extra time on your hands for some guilty pleasure tv since The Bachelor and douche bag Jason are gone, tune into Toddlers and Tiaras. I think it originally airs on Tuesday at 10(unfortunately it conflicts with my beloved Nip/Tuck and Real Housewives) but repeats throughout the week. I promise you fashionistas and real moms an escape from reality treat!

There is a moment of tension when Miranda wonders aloud whether she and Steve might be able to buy Charlotte’s old condominium at a foreclosure sale, but the two old friends kiss and make up when Miranda adds $2 to the tip for their waitress, who just happens to be Charlotte’s second adopted Chinese daughter, a 42-year-old former train dispatcher named Iris, now supporting her parents by working double shifts at Hong-Tsu’s.

Although it is December, and a snowstorm is on the way, the girls decide to save a little money and, instead of meeting at Hong-Tsu’s, hold their weekly tête-à-tête on a bench in Union Square Park, just a stone’s throw from what used to be the Union Square Café, which is now Pat and Dominick’s Bowling City. There is much to talk about. After her initial joy at what the girls gigglingly referred to as Small’s sexual “surge,” Carrie was plunged into despair when Small, experiencing a four-day erection, had his member struck by a bicycle messenger while waiting for the light to change at Broadway and 86th Street. Charlotte immediately invites Carrie to stay with her and the family in their new studio apartment in Waldwick, New Jersey, until Small gets out of the hospital. Carrie bursts into tears. She is torn by guilt, unable to decide between caring for Small and rushing to the bedside of the ailing Manolo Blahnik, who had been struck down when the march to save Versace in Washington turned violent. Samantha, now administering oral sex to unemployed newspaper editors under an emergency provision in the stimulus package, votes for Blahnik. Miranda is about to protest when it begins to snow, and the girls, unable to find a federally funded taxi, take refuge in Pat and Dominick’s, in exchange for polishing the balls.
Scene Five: Opportunities
Carrie arrives at Hong-Tsu’s breathless with some big news: The new bipartisan health-care plan, which provides medical coverage to every American citizen, so long as the primary-care physician is based in Iraq, is going to pay for one-half of Small’s prosthetic penis. The girls put their heads together and try to think of a way to come up with the money to pay to complete the operation. Samantha, recalling the recent purchase of Chase Bank on eBay by a Mrs. Estelle Dobbs of Eagle Rock, New Mexico, offers to sell her body online. Charlotte suggests that Carrie save money by moving in with her and the family in their new tent in Clifton, New Jersey, overlooking the Passaic River. Miranda, who represented the city’s homeless people in the recent “shelter buyout” brouhaha, offers to sue the government. Carrie is so moved that she forgets to attend the Jean-Paul Gaultier Bailout rally in Park Slope.
Scene Six: You Can’t Always Get What You Want, But...
The girls collect enough money to pay for two-thirds of the second half of Small’s prosthetic penis, and they meet at Hong-Tsu’s in high spirits. There is more to celebrate than Small’s comeback, however. Congress has passed a sweeping Public Works Program and everyone has a job! Carrie is working both as editor-in-chief of the new Zagat’s Guide to New York City’s Best Soup-Kitchens, and helping to oversee the government’s efforts to convert the Big Three’s cars into energy-saving shoes. Charlotte is employed in a federally funded arts program that shows imprisoned real-estate brokers how to paint houses and yards instead of selling them; Samantha has been sent by the US to the Middle East to head up its Sex-for-Peace initiative; and Miranda and Steve are working in a government project to teach Signal Corps movements to Americans who can no longer afford cellphones. The evening ends with some fabulous news. Iris has just married Hong-Tsu, and the two of them are going to buy up everyone’s debt. Hugs and tears."

I am so turned off by Jason Mesnick, I cannot believe I am taking the time to post about him. My mouth is still in the catch flies position after watching what went down on The Bachelor last night. Let me begin by saying that I never liked Jason. When he was on the Bachelorette with Deana, I really disliked him because he was such a kiss ass and wimp. To me, he came across like a total phoney. He had wimp written all over his face. I was thrilled when Deana chose Jesse over Jason and enjoyed watching Jason get dumped....sheer guilty television bliss.

And then he becomes The Bachelor! Ugh! Really, what type of guy has a job where he can take off for months on end? I wonder how much The Bachelor pays the cast members. Anyway, I digress. I never liked Melissa or Molly. I thought that Jason should have ended up with Jillian but she is much too good for his whiney whimpy ass. I felt so sorry for Melissa, being dumped on national television and I relished the moment she called him "a bastard". She handled herself quite well and in the long run, she is going to have real men knocking down her door. I can just hear her parents saying "I told you so.....this is why we did not want to appear on national television for this charade".

And Molly? When Jason sent Molly packing, he cried like a little girl. I was ready for him to curl up with Tye's binkey and start sucking his thumb. She knew he made a mistake. But I have no respect for Molly. I cannot fathom that she wants to give it another go with this girleyman. She should have told him to fuck off. I would never want to be someone's sloppy seconds. And who wants to be with a man who can't even make up his own mind? No wonder his first wife dumped him.

Jason definitely deserves to be named the Douche Bag, Cry Baby, Wimp and Wuss of the Year. Hands down. I hope that Molly gains some self respect and dumps him ASAP because this is not a couple who will go for the long haul. Time to grow some testicles, Jason!

Yesterday, when the weatherman said it might snow on Sunday, I said " Yeah, right". Wrong! This morning I watched the rain change into sleet and into wet snow and then into big, beautiful snowflakes. A winter wonderland in Hotlanta on March 1! Unreal. Mr. Big experienced his first adventure in the snow and loved it.

Now it's time to pour a nice big glass of malbec and curl up on the couch in front of a blazing fire and watch some guilty pleasure television. And believe it or not, now is the time I wish a nice, big, hot "manfriend" to share it with......can I actually be thinking of getting back into the dating and mating market? Kim Zolciak Files For Protective Order Against Publicist Jonathan Jaxson

In the blog http://www.entertainmentrundown.com/, Divine reports that Kim Zolciak has filed for a protective order against her former publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, who was also publicist to Michael Lohan and Kim Kardashian. Sounds like a real cat fight to me. Meow! Team Zolciak or Team Jaxson or neither?

"Kim Zolciak, of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has filed legal papers asking a judge for a protective order against her former publicist Jonathan Jaxson.
Kim says that he hijacked her website and began trashing her online, according to TMZ.
She says fired him and he then changed all the passwords and began posting items claiming, among other things, she was broke and couldn’t even pay for the website.
Jaxson’s rep tells a different story.
“Jaxson is in fear for his safety and has filed a police report with the Atlanta Police Department after threats were made concerning his well-being by Ms. Zolciak,” his rep tells E! News.
Jaxson filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against Kim Feb. 23 for $15,000 in back fees, claiming she had stopped paying his monthly retainer fee, thereby immediately voiding their contract.
Furthermore, Jaxson’s rep says, he owns the website Kim is accusing him of hijacking."

Team Tara on the Biggest Loser!

I am obsessed with the Biggest Loser. On Tuesday nights, I sit down in the den with a large glass of malbec and a tray of food and indulge. I love to watch Jillian and Bob mentally and physically abuse the contestants, especially when Bob mounts the contestants and makes them walk with him on their backs. There are always tears and drama. But the best part is the weigh-in. Sometimes I will just fast forward until the weigh in. I am intrigued with how much the contestants lose each week. And how much they weigh. I cringe at the thought of standing in front of the viewing audience in bike shorts and a sports bra. And the man boobs...geez, many women would be jealous of the size of some of the guys boobs.

How can a woman lose 11 pounds in one week? Almost impossible, even with anorexia or bulimia! This week Tara lost 11 pounds and has lost a total of 83 pounds in 8 weeks. How is this possible? Is it because she is 23 and has a great metabolism? I hope that Tara makes it to the finals and wins. Team Tara all the way! I used to work out with a trainer three times a week and follow a regimented diet. The most I was able to lose in a week was no more than 2 pounds! GRRRRRRRRR!

I want to go on the Biggest Loser. No, I am not overweight but to me, it looks like fun. I would love to spend 3-4 months away from the pressures of home and work and work out every day. It sounds divine. I guess I would have to gain a shitload of weight to qualify. Can you imagine porking up and then not get on the show? So my idea is this....why not have a Biggest Loser spinoff for people with just a few pounds to lose? I am certain I am not alone in my desire to go on the show. Anyone else feel the same way?

Real Housewives of Atlanta Scoop- Kim's Website and Atlanta Panel Discussion

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that three of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Nene Leakes, Sheree Whitfield and Lisa Wu Hartwell, held a "panel discussion" at South Dekalb Mall this past weekend. What a fiasco that must have been. I do not even know where South Dekalb Mall is and I live in Dekalb County. Suffice it to say that I am certain that the Housewives have never shopped at South Dekalb Mall.......the high end stores being Express and Payless. However, now that Sheree and Nene may have lost their homes, they may be reevaluating their shopping preferences. Maybe Sheree will have to wear "She by Sheree". It is my understanding that Sheree never did have a show at NY Fashion Week.

In other news, our girl Kimmie's website (http://www.kimzolciakonline.com/) was taken down for alleged non-payment of fees. She states that she fired her PR representative, Jonathan Jaxson, who is also her webmaster. He is the ex PR rep for Kim Kardashian and Michael Lohan. He also suspended MLo's website. When you find your life in turmoil ,as mine has been over the past few months, you discover many things about yourself and also about who your friends really are. In the past few months, I have had to put down two beloved pets, care for my aging mother and father through surgery and alzheimers, respectively. Couple this with a business slowdown in this horrible economic climate and you wonder what can go wrong next.

I couldn't have made it through these trials and tribulations without the support and love of my friends. I have some really great friends whom I have mentioned on my blog. They were there for me, holding me hand, comforting me, crying with me, drinking mass quantities of wine with me, cooking for me and just being available and loving. You know who you are and I love you so much! A million thank yous!

On the other side of the coin, you find out who aren't your true friends. In this time of cutbacks and layoffs, I have decided to cut back/cut off/terminate my friendship with certain people. These are the fair weather friends...... faux friends........phonier than a faux Chanel handbag. They are there when you are having a party. They are there when you invite them to concerts. They are there when you take them out to dinner and drinks. They are there when you travel and you bring them along because you have a comped hotel room, food and drinks. They are there when you go shopping and buy them a present you think they might like for no reason whatsoever. They will call you complaining about their bad husbands, boyfriends and jobs....especially when you are busy at work without regard for what you might be doing and never ask how you are. They try to suck you into their vacuous worlds.

But they are not there when you really need them. They show no compassion, care or concern. It is all about them. These people are total narcissistic takers. I do not need to hang with people like this. I would rather have a select group of true friends rather than a large group of true friends and faux friends.

My advice for the day.....evaluate your friendships from time to time. Sometimes you have to make personal cutbacks. Throw out the faux friends like you would the trash. It is cleansing and good for the soul.

Adios, faux friends......I feel so much better without you!

The following is an interview conducted by Atlanta's Sunday Paper (http://www.sundaypaper.com/) with our home girl, Kim Zolciak. It ran in last Sunday's paper. Check it out. I really appreciate her candor and honest, heartfelt answers. You go girlfriend!

"Q What would you say is people’s biggest misconception about you from the show?

A That I’m a gold-digger, and that I’m not a friend. I think they saw me bouncing from NeNe [Leakes] to Sheree [Whitfield]. NeNe and I have reconciled, we’ve talked about everything, we’re great friends, so maybe in the second season they may see me and NeNe back together. I think they see a different image of my real character.

What's going on with your music?

I’m working with a bunch of new people, which is very exciting but very, very stressful. I kind of knew Dallas Austin a little bit before I started to work with him, so it was a little easier. Now I’m working with all-new people and hopefully, I think we’re going to end up recording [during the] second season, and I think it’ll probably be out in the fall. Summertime, fall, when the season airs. I’ll be able to record on the show and then release it beforehand.

Any names we might know, people you’re working with?You’ll definitely know who I’m working with. But my contract’s a little tight right now so we’re negotiating that and when that contract’s signed and over and done with, then I’ll definitely blast who I’m working with.

How has your life changed because of the show?My life has completely changed in a very short period of time. My relationship has suffered, you know with Big Poppa. It’s been very difficult. You go from having a private life to all of a sudden, it’s all over. And especially with him being a mystery, or a secret, people have really tried to snap a photo or tried to get him and me together. My children have had a really hard time with people in school, they go to a very strict private school. You can’t even go to the grocery store, you know? Which is flattering, because without my fans I wouldn’t ever be where I’m at today. But there’s no more going to the grocery store, in and out. Even McDonald’s drive-thrus, you know? People recognize you, they want a picture. But all in all, it’s been a great experience.

Can you give us a preview of Season Two?I think Season Two’s going to be a lot different. I think we all learned from Season One, the mistakes that we made or we didn’t take it very seriously at times. And I think that when you’re presenting an image to America or you’re doing a reality show you’re going to get tore up, up one side and down the other. I think we’re all going to make changes. A new residence for some. Big Poppa may make an appearance, which is pretty exciting. And I have a big cover shoot that will be on the show. Very big.Can you talk about that yet?I can’t talk about it, but it’ll be huge. It is huge. It’s very exciting. It’s something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. You say on the show people don’t necessarily see your true character. Was I playing a character? No. All the footage you saw was in essence accurate. However, we filmed for a good four or five months, 12 hours a day, five days a week, and they take all these hours and combine them into seven one-hour episodes. So ultimately they take the worst parts, or the parts that are going to get controversy or what have you, and release that. So they created a character for me. I can’t sing, I’ve got a mystery sugar daddy, I drink, I smoke like crazy, I’m not a good friend—they created a character.

Anything you want to clear up for our readers?I never drink and drive. Ever. I mean, I have two little girls to live for, and the footage that they showed of that … And I can definitely sing. I think the footage they showed of Dallas and me was horrendous. We were in the studio for many hours that day, and they should have shown me giving it my all and not just really in essence speaking and getting comfortable with the equipment initially. But I’m ready to come back and show them who I am.

Are you still in touch with Dallas Austin?You know, Dallas spoke out about me on his MySpace page, which was pretty rough. I’m still not sure where that came from. Dallas has always been great to my girls, and I respect him. I’m not really sure. I didn’t reach out to him, and I haven’t, just because it’s been so stressful for me. But the only thing I can come up with is, I was pretty humiliated with the footage, too. And Dallas working with the people that he’s worked with in the past, and seeing that footage, it’s like they made a joke out of Dallas and I. And he was frustrated or humiliated by it. And I think, maybe that’s where the anger came from. I’m not sure why this all went on."

The Flame Has Been Extinguished Forever!

For those of you who may have followed this blog last year, you may recall that I was totally crunching on one of my neighbors in our office building. He was a cute, charming sports agent and moved in in June. He never physically unpacked his boxes. It hit me a few weeks after I met him that this guy was a total player. I could totally see how he could suck in the parents of a prospective NBA player. I introduced him to one of my best male friends and he thought we were dating....farthest thing from the truth...he is CIT's husband. Anyway, I didn't see him at all after that! The office was totally dark and nothing had been unpacked as of last week! We finally saw the marshall come and put a notice on the door. The Flame is being evicted !!!! Bottom line: Slick had not paid rent since the day he and his partner moved in....the developer totally built out the brand new office for him and he did not pay one red cent in return. WTF? A total scam artist. I am so happy my radar was working so the Flame could not suck me into his nasty world. The Flame is officially extinguished as he came in over the weekend and moved his boxes out in the middle of the night. I hope that I never run into him again. Adios you loser!

Super Bowl Party was so much fun it lasted until Tuesday!

Super Bowl was so much fun! The Margarita machine arrived around 1pm so the party started around 2 for me. My guests arrived around 5 and we were ready to go. T prepared a football pool and I actually won about $170. We ate hamburgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers and hotdogs from the grill with all the fixings... and also chili, potato salad, wings, cole slaw, buffalo chicken wing dip and 5 deserts ranging from dirt cake to cupcakes to chocolate cake to cookies and creme. Mr. Margarita did not pick up the machine until Tuesday morning so for me, the party continued on Monday night after work....about 20 degrees outside and drinking frozen margaritas. Noone did anything super crazy but a good time was had by all.

Shopaholic hits the theaters next Friday......I have read the entire Shopaholic series written by Sophie Kinsella and have enjoyed every moment. I can totally relate to the protaganist,as she has a ridiculous addiction/affinity for shopping. Unfortunately, in these times, many of us fashionistas have had to become recessionistas. How I long for a trip to the mall with alot of cash and a credit card without a balance but that isn't happening anytime soon. Business sucks right now and I hope that the stimulus package will start stimulating some economic activity for all of us because I want some new shoes!

I have always been a fashionista, raised by parents in the fashion industry. About a year ago, someone submitted me as a subject for our local paper's weekly commentary on people and their fashion idiosyncracies. About 2 weeks ago, I was contacted by a writer who wanted to interview me for a story. The photographer came out and snapped some photos of me, Mr. Big, my closet and my sacred collection of shoes and handbags. It will be appearing in the paper in the near future. For those of you who are hooked up with me through Facebook, you can see the link and all of the pics on my wall. As a recessionista, the only shopping I can do is right in my closet.

Dallas Austin Predicts Kim Zolciak Will Not Walk the Red Carpet as a Grammy Nominee Next Year

This tidbit about our Kimmie was penned today by Richard L. Eldredge in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the opening of Atlanta's newest W Hotel. Rick questioned Dallas Austin about Kimmie's chops..... and he was very diplomatic in his response. Read on:

"The downtown W just opened —- and didn’t waste time in snagging a celeb-studded party to celebrate.
The new hotel (not to be confused with its sister properties, the W Midtown and W Buckhead) hosted a Thursday night bash honoring Georgia’s Grammy Award-nominated artists.
Strolling the red carpet was OutKast member Big Boi, who said he’d love to add another Grammy to his collection. He also said he’s taking his innovative hip-hop ballet, “Big,” on the road.
“We’re always trying new things,” said the artist also known as Antwan Patton.
The nicest guys there had to be Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and brother Brandon, who shook hands and introduced themselves like they were greeters at church.
Brandon Bush, a member of the band Train, says the country’s troubled times have people yearning for music with a hopeful and genuine sound.
“There’s a new search for authenticity,” he said.
Dallas Austin, too, predicts troubled times are going to result in a clean new sound coming from the music industry, particularly Atlanta artists.
“We’re going to revert back to where we came from, a very organic sound,” he said. “Everyone needs to humble down. A lot of junk is going to go away.”

Which brings us to our next question. Austin was filmed during the past season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” trying to coax a recordable sound out of aspiring songbird Kim Zolciak.

Time for My Annual Super Bowl Extravaganza

I do not do alot of entertaining. However, in order to reciprocate with my friends, I have a Super Bowl party every year. I usually have it catered and it takes me two days to set up. This year, in these tough economic times, I am taking on the responsibility for preparing most of the food and refreshments. Yikes. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill with all the condiments you can ask for, chili, wings, chips, dips, candy....you name it. The 'piece de resistance' is the margarita machine I always rent from Mr. Margarita. It is top notch and makes the best damn margaritas east of the Mississippi! Everyone uses gets pretty sloshed. One of my friends makes a game board and we all bet. I have hired someone to help with the preparation and clean up as I do not want to be cleaning all by myself at midnight.

Mr. Big is 24 pounds of unadulterated love. He is such a sweetie! I cannot fathom that he was in a high kill shelter just a few weeks ago. I would like to send the irresponsible dog owners to a shelter in hell!

Thanks to all of you for your kind words about the loss of Duchess. Mr. Big is filling the empty place in our hearts and the timing of getting Mr. Big was amazing.

As I mentioned recently, my dad and his dog, Duchess, were schedued to stay eiyh me while my mother spent some time away in NY. I adopted Mr. Big on Monday and he has been a sheer pleasure in every way possible.....sweet, loving, adorable, housebroken and sleep through the whole night! My dad and Duchess arrived Tuesday. Duchess has been suffering from vestibular syndrome which causes vertigo, tilted head and legs which dont hold the dog up. She is also incontinent. After the trauma of introducting her to Mr. Big, they finally became buddies. Duchess was unable to climb the steps to sleep in my bedroom. On Thursday morning when I went downstairs, Duchess had pooped, peed and thrown up all over the place. And in a manner totally atypical to Duchess, she refused food. We then headed to the vet. The 2 vets who have treated Duchess for the past 13 years agreed that it was her time. I sat with my dad, who suffers from Alzheimers, and explained that Duchess had lived a love, happy life but she was very sick and shouldn't suffer any longer. I left him with Mr. Big and went into another office and very peacefully, the vet put Duchess to sleep. It was hearbreaking. I found Duchess at the Atlanta Humane Society and my parents adopted her. She was a hell of a dog.

Thanks goodness for Mr. Big.......my father remarked that Mr. Big can "win anyone over" since Duchess, who did not like most. And for the record, noone should have to put down 2 beloved pets in 2 weeks. It sucks the big one,
