Dallas Austin Predicts Kim Zolciak Will Not Walk the Red Carpet as a Grammy Nominee Next Year

This tidbit about our Kimmie was penned today by Richard L. Eldredge in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the opening of Atlanta's newest W Hotel. Rick questioned Dallas Austin about Kimmie's chops..... and he was very diplomatic in his response. Read on:

"The downtown W just opened —- and didn’t waste time in snagging a celeb-studded party to celebrate.
The new hotel (not to be confused with its sister properties, the W Midtown and W Buckhead) hosted a Thursday night bash honoring Georgia’s Grammy Award-nominated artists.
Strolling the red carpet was OutKast member Big Boi, who said he’d love to add another Grammy to his collection. He also said he’s taking his innovative hip-hop ballet, “Big,” on the road.
“We’re always trying new things,” said the artist also known as Antwan Patton.
The nicest guys there had to be Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and brother Brandon, who shook hands and introduced themselves like they were greeters at church.
Brandon Bush, a member of the band Train, says the country’s troubled times have people yearning for music with a hopeful and genuine sound.
“There’s a new search for authenticity,” he said.
Dallas Austin, too, predicts troubled times are going to result in a clean new sound coming from the music industry, particularly Atlanta artists.
“We’re going to revert back to where we came from, a very organic sound,” he said. “Everyone needs to humble down. A lot of junk is going to go away.”

Which brings us to our next question. Austin was filmed during the past season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” trying to coax a recordable sound out of aspiring songbird Kim Zolciak.
So we asked if Austin anticipates seeing the leggy blonde stroll down the carpet with next year’s nominees.
“I wouldn’t think so,” he said with a chuckle.
Don’t misunderstand. Dallas isn’t talking bad about poor Kim.
“I’m not the kind of person to slam anybody,” he said."

Kim Zolciak Finds New Mr. Big Fresh Out of Jail

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that Kimmy is dating Joe Francis. I guess she will show her boobs and wear the outfit she once changed into in a parking lot.....

"FoxNews.com is reporting that reality show celebrity Kim Zolciak of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has just started dating “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis.

“The two were spotted getting particularly cozy in Park City (Utah) over the weekend and even shared the same house at the (Sundance) film festival,” writes Hollie McKay in the “Pop Tarts” gossip column."

Atlanta Cougar Headed to Las Vegas This Weekend!

When life gets tough and an escape from your personal hell is a necessity, the party animals get going and a weekend trip to Vegas will put the wiggle back into your walk. After the loss of Coco, I was down in the dumps. One of my running buddies who lives in Salt Lake suggested a jaunt to the Pigskin Classic Slot Tournament at the Bellagio. They must be hurting if they invited me for 3 free nights and several hundred dollars in Free Play. I am going to take full advantage while I am able and will head out tomorrow afternoon!! What will ensue? Who knows? A given--- too many cocktails, acting crazy and flirting! And if I am lucky, maybe breaking even or winning a few dollars! My friend J and I wreaked some havoc during our last trip. The slot tournament involves simply showing up at a big party with all kind of specialty drinks and food and hitting your fist on a slot machine for 10 minutes. Each person plays 3 rounds of 10 minutes over a 2 day period. The first prize is $20,000 cash and last prize is $100 in Free Play. Totally a blast!

Wish me luck and I will report back early next week!

Thefrisky.com Reports That DeShawn Snow Will Leave Real Housewives of Atlanta

Hot off the press! One of my favorite websites, http://www.thefrisky.com/ is reporting that Deshawn(the Yawn) Snow will be bidding adieu to the Atlanta Housewives. She needs more time to manage her estate. Rumor has it that Tameka, wife of R&B sensation, Usher, will be stepping into Deshawn's Manolo Blahniks. Read on.
"The women on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” sure know how to stay in the spotlight, even when the show isn’t on air. But you know what NeNe would say—“You’re nobody until you’re talked about.” Well, all the Housewives have been talked about since the season finale. We all heard the rumors about NeNe getting her own show (Update: NeNe will remain a Housewife until her spin-off in 2010), Sheree to show off her line, Sh*t She by Sheree, at Fashion Week, and Kim Zolciak is supposedly dating Lindsay Lohan’s dad. Now one more Housewife is in the limelight, but not in a good way. Our coma-inducing friend DeShawn (or as Amelia likes to call her, DeYawn) has been asked to leave the show...for OBVIOUS reasons. No one was interested in her boring life and whiny voice. But when one housewife’s story isn’t sexy enough for televison, another must step in to fill the diva role. After the jump, find out who has been approached to be the new Real Housewife of Atlanta.
Bravo has asked Tameka Foster, wife of R&B singer Usher, to join the cast of “Real Housewives” next season. I can see the cat fights already. Kim would pretend to be her BFF, in hopes that Usher would give her singing lessons. (When is that single coming out anyway Kim?) And Sheree would totally be hating on Tameka because Tameka has access to all her man’s money; whereas, Sheree is fighting in court to get some dough from her ex. NeNe and Tameka would really bond because NeNe wouldn’t be intimidated by her. And Lisa, well Lisa is the neutral party. She gets along with everyone. This is going to be a scandalous !"

Sheree Whitfield's House In Foreclosure and Ex-Husband Broke According to Atlanta Journal Constitution

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Sheree Whitfield has dismissed her divorce appeal! The gravy train is off the tracks....Bobby Whitfield is flat broke and their spacious home is scheduled for foreclosure sale! Read on...

"Former Atlanta Falcon Bob Whitfield has squandered his fortune and failed to pay child support for his two children for 15 months, his ex-wife’s lawyer said Monday.
For this reason, Sheree Whitfield, a star of the TV reality show “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” dismissed her appeal of the couple’s divorce case that sought alimony from the former football star, her lawyer, Michael Weinstock, said.
“The man hasn’t paid a dime” in child support, Weinstock said. “Mr. Whitfield’s going to have to figure out how to pay the money.”
Weinstock made the claims during arguments before the Georgia Supreme Court in which he and Bob Whitfield’s lawyer, Christopher Olmstead, leveled accusations at one another.
Olmstead argued that Sheree Whitfield, 38, or her lawyers, should pay up to $2,500 in penalties for bringing a frivolous appeal.
“This is an affront to the court,” Olmstead said. “The icing on the cake, the cherry on the sundae” arrived Monday morning when Sheree Whitfield’s lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the appeal, he said.
Weinstock countered that the appeal was filed for legitimate reasons but the issue is now moot because Whitfield is broke.
Whitfield, 37, played for the Falcons for 12 years. He and Sheree Whitfield married in June 2000. Six months later, the Falcons gave their star offensive lineman a then-franchise record $8 million signing bonus.
The couple separated three years later and Sheree Whitfield filed for divorce in 2005.
After a trial, a Fulton County judge awarded Sheree Whitfield custody of the couple’s two children. The judge also ordered Bob Whitfield to pay $2,142 a month in child support, give his ex-wife $775,000 in cash and turn over shares of four NFL retirement accounts.
Bob Whitfield was awarded the family’s $2.4 million, 5,900-square-foot home in Sandy Springs and four other properties, including his “world-class” recording studio.
Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. is now advertising that it plans to foreclose and sell the spacious Sandy Springs home on the courthouse steps.
Sheree Whitfield initially filed her appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court on grounds she was wrongly denied alimony. While Olmstead wants to “take shots” at her lawyers, his client may ultimately be found in contempt of court, Weinstock said.
To date, Bob Whitfield has paid $425,000 of the court-ordered $775,000 to his ex-wife. But he has not paid any child support since the final divorce judgment was signed in October 2007, Weinstock said."

Real Housewives of Atlanta Sheree Whitfield Fashionista Dreams Come True!

According to The New York Post, Sheree Whitfield is heading to the Big Apple in February for Fashion Week. Read on:

"ONE of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" is having her dream come true. While Nene Leakes was booted from her home amid ru mors of failing to pay her rent, and Kim Zol ciak falsely cried "cancer" when asked why she wears a weave, Sheree Whitfield - ex- wife of former New York Giant Bob Whit field - completed her fashion line and is heading to New York. A spy says "She by Sheree" will debut at Fashion Week in February. The basic cost of putting on a fashion show is at least $50,000 - which explains why Sheree is taking Bob back to court, claiming the $1 million he gave her in the divorce was not enough."

Thank you Blog Friends!

I want to thank all of my blog friends for the kind words and compassion following the devastating loss of Coco to cancer. It is been a little more than a week since her passing and it seems like an eternity. I spent the first weekend in bed crying alternated with drinking large glasses of wine. I pulled myself out of bed on Monday to go back to work but, unlike anything I have ever done, without makeup and contact lenses and in a (gasp!) sweat suit. I wore similar outfits (I should say lack thereof) for the rest of the week. I just didn't give a shit. I picked up Coco's remains in a little box on Monday which further depressed me. I can't believe she is gone. I instinctively look over my shoulder when I back up my desk chair so I don't run into Coco, I look for her in the office, I hear her in the house and my gut tells me to get home to let Coco out or to feed her. This is a huge void.

I am also fortunate to have the very best friends in the world who have been there to support me every step of the way. I love you guys. You know who you are.

Some people want to wait before adopting another dog but I have a huge empty spot in my heart which needs to be filled. Probably the only thing in which I excel is caring for pets. I am ready to find my next bundle of love. There will never be another Coco. She was the best and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

Sheree Whitfield's Divorce Case Scheduled for Monday

Scoop courtesy of Rick Eldredge of Atlanta Journal Constitution's Peach Buzz:

"On the show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Sheree Whitfield expressed a desire for a “seven figure” settlement from her ex-husband and former Atlanta Falcons player Bob Whitfield. She has since said very little about the case because of legal wranglings.
She received a settlement last year but wasn’t happy with it. So she has appealed it all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court. The case is scheduled to be heard Monday.
Her attorneys have painted her as a high school graduate with limited skills to earn income. If the settlement remains the same, she won’t be able to stay at her $2.6 million home. She receives $113,422 a year from the divorce, not enough for her to live the lifestyle she’s used to and clearly not at the level that the hit Bravo show conveys. Sheree also received a lump sum of $775,000, shares of Whitfield’s retirement pension, nearly half the marital property and child support.
Additional factoids thoughtfully provided by a Fulton County court public information officer:
Whitfield is “appealing a Fulton County Court’s refusal to grant her alimony and a new trial. Under a 2003 pilot project, the high court has agreed to review all challenges to final divorce decrees that are not deemed frivolous.”
“Bob and Sheree Whitfield separated after three years of marriage in 2003 and divorced after seven in 2007. … The trial court awarded her custody of the children and $2,142.87 a month in child support. It also awarded her a division of the marital property totaling more than $1.1 million and including a lump sum payment of $775,000. It gave her half of the marital portion of three NFL retirement plans. But the court did not award alimony.
“The court awarded him nearly all the real estate, including four homes, and the recording studio, Patchwerks, which he founded. Her lawyers moved for a new trial over the denial of alimony. The lower court denied the motion, and she now appeals to the Supreme Court.”
The possible upside to all this divorce drama? If cameras are allowed into the courtroom, the second season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” potentially could provide 15 or more seconds of watchable television. Oh, and if Sheree somehow manages a bigger payday, perhaps the alleged fashion “designer” will be able to afford classes in sewing and stitching —- services she unsuccessfully farmed out to others in Season 1."

Bye Bye Nene! Rumor has it that Nene Leakes Will Not Appear in Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta

Thanks to Frisky.com for the following scoop...fresh off the press!

"Rumor has it, NeNe Leakes, from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is leaving the show. But don’t worry! NeNe is in talks to get her very own show, a spin-off which focuses on her life. What life?! NeNe, you run some bogus foundation. And as much as we love you, you are NOTHING without Kim and Sheree to fight with. What are we going to do? Watch you as you feed your sweet, old husband, drive around in your Escalade and look for your real daddy? BORING.
The only thing I may be interested in seeing on her show is her gay friend—the honorary sixth housewife who isn’t scared of the color pink because it is a masculine color. But while we’re on the subject of casting change, the housewife who really needs to leave the show is DeShawn [DeYawn!—Editor]. DeShawn’s segments on the show really help with insomnia. That chick is a snore. If NeNe does get her own show, I hope she has some other elite Atlanta bitchy socialite friends to talk about behind their backs. Otherwise, this has disaster written all over it. [Media Takeout] "

Kimberly Zolciak of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Unveils Her New Blog and Much More

Well, it was just a matter of time until this happened! Kim Zolciak has started a blog at http://www.kimzolciakonline.com/. Maybe Brielle is giving her mom a hand. Three amusing elements of the blog:

1. Kim displayed her recently liposuctioned bikini body in some "candid" photos on the site. She says that someone just snapped them of her. Give me a break. There is more brush on her than on her wig brush. They are the most posed pictures ever.

2. Kim lists her contact email address as edgeproductionsllc@gmail.com. According to the Georgia Secretary of State, this corporation is officially dissolved and not in good standing. Maybe she and Nene use the same corporate attorney.

3. Kim claims that she is playing in a celebrity poker tournament at the Sundance Film Festival....interesting.....I don't see her name on the invitation listed as a "celebrity player". We all know that she is a "playa".

Your thoughts?

January 2, 2009....one of the saddest days of my life

It is with deep regret that I inform all my blog friends that Coco passed away peacefully this morning after her valiant battle with cancer and other associated surgeries. She was, as my vet said, one tough girl, and there will never be another puppy like her. I usually do not believe in the Rainbow Bridge and Dog's Heaven or any heaven for that matter, but in the offchance that there is a Doggie Heaven, I find comfort in the notion that she is happy, disease and pain free.

She was one great dog and will be sorely missed.
I am officially starting 2009 on Monday, January 5th as this is not the way to start the year. When you have your next cocktail, please raise a toast to Coco, the wonder dog. March 17, 1995-January 2, 2009
