January 2, 2009....one of the saddest days of my life

It is with deep regret that I inform all my blog friends that Coco passed away peacefully this morning after her valiant battle with cancer and other associated surgeries. She was, as my vet said, one tough girl, and there will never be another puppy like her. I usually do not believe in the Rainbow Bridge and Dog's Heaven or any heaven for that matter, but in the offchance that there is a Doggie Heaven, I find comfort in the notion that she is happy, disease and pain free.

She was one great dog and will be sorely missed.
I am officially starting 2009 on Monday, January 5th as this is not the way to start the year. When you have your next cocktail, please raise a toast to Coco, the wonder dog. March 17, 1995-January 2, 2009

How horrible! I can only imagine how you must be feeling. I don't know you but feel connected as one "doggie mom" to another. I firmly believe there is a special place in heaven for our most loyal and faithful furry "children", who I must admit to sometimes liking way better than my real children.

Much sympathy to you for your loss and wishing you a much happier New Year.

Ah Cougar-
I'm so sorry! Coco was sure a Beauty! We have lots of pets around The Kitchen, and we love our furry babies, too!

I feel your heartache. We lost our beloved Beauty. My daughter was two years old and they grew up together. Beauty was a part of our life for fourteen years. When I read your words, I cried because I understand the pain you must feel.

Coco was beautiful and I know she will be dearly missed!
Thank you for sharing Coco with us.

Hugs to you, :-( sorry for your loss.

I saw the movie Marley & Me over the weekend, if you have not seen it, it is a wonderful movie.

Very sad to hear about your dog. Do you plan to get another lab? Lab puppies are awesome.
